Poor acceleration.

Clogged air filter. Clogged fuel filter. Chain brake engaged.

Lean fuel/air mixture. Idle speed set too low.

Clean or replace the air filter.

Replace the fuel filter.

Engine stops abruptly.

Switch turned off.

Fuel tank empty.

Water in the fuel.

Ground (stop) wire is disconnected, or switch is defective.
