IEEE specification for 10 Mbps Ethernet on two pairs of
Category 3, 4 or 5 twisted-pair cable. The point-to-point cable
segment can be up to 100 m (328 ft.) in length.
100BASE-FX
IEEE specifications for 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet on multimode
fiber optic cable. The maximum length for a point-to-point
connection is 2 km (1.24 mi.) in full-duplex mode, or 412 m
(0.25 mi.) in half-duplex mode.
100BASE-TX
IEEE specifications for 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet on two pairs of
Category 5 twisted-pair cable. The point-to-point cable segment
can be up to 100 m (328 ft.) in length.
