About DCF File

Names

Most SoW brand digital still and video cameras automatically record still photo and movie tiles using DCF compliant directory and tile names.

If you selected the	option, as described	on
page 92, you might want to have your	digital camera's instruction	manual
handy in order to check how tiles and	directories are organized for your
specific model of digital camera.

DCF stands for "Design Rules for Camera File Systems," which are specifications established by the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA: former JEIDA).
