4)Once you open the lid, the point to start play will change to the beginning of the first track (exc the disc information is stored to the Personal Disc Memory).
If the play does not start
Make sure the recorder is not locked (pages 20, 74).
When using the headphones/ earphones connect them directly to the recorder
The VOL +/– buttons and the Digital Sound Preset function may become inoperative. In this case, do the procedure below.
1Press the jog dial, turn the dial until
“AUDIO OUT” flashes in the display, and then press the dial again.
2Turn the jog dial until“HeadPhone” flashes in the display.
3Press the jog dial again.

•The playback mode will switch automatically to match the recording mode of the material (SP stereo, LP2 stereo, LP4 stereo, or monaural).
•To play only the tracks in a certain group, see
“Using the Group Function (Group mode)” (page 43).
•The volume setting can be stored to the Personal Disc Memory (page 51).
Note
If the power supply is disrupted (i.e. the battery is removed or becomes exhausted or the AC power adaptor is disconnected) when the recorder is operating, the lid may not open until the power is restored.
