Logging into Voice Mail
To access your Voice Mail messages at any time:
1 Go to the Message Center screen (see | g |
“Message Center” on page 106). If Voice | |
Mail is not highlighted, press S to scroll | |
to Voice Mail. The number of new | |
messages and the total number of | |
messages are displayed. |
2Press C under CALL to log into Nextel Voice Mail. Calling displays as you are connected to the network.
NOTE:If your hear a message that says, “Enter the phone number of the subscriber you are trying to reach,” enter your own
3When prompted, enter your password.

Text and Numeric Messaging
With Nextel Text and Numeric Messaging, Nextel will:
•Allow text (alpha) messages up to 140 characters in length.
•Allow numeric messages up to 20 characters in length when a caller presses 1 at your Voice Mail greeting.
•Accept your messages even if you are unavailable, if your phone is turned off, or if you are busy on another call.
•Alert you of a new text or numeric message, even if you are on another call.
•Store a message if you are using Nextel Direct Connect and deliver it upon completion of the call.
