5-4 Removing Nodes from the Chassis

Each of the eight individual nodes may be removed from the chassis. Note that when a node is removed from the chassis, the hard drives located in the node will shut-down.

Removing a Node

1.Power down the system and remove the power cords from the rear of the node as described in Section 5-2.

2.Grasp the node by the handles on either side of the front of the node.

3.Carefully pull the node forward and out of the chassis.

5-5 Removing the Cover from the Node

Removing the Node Cover

1.Remove the power cord from the node as described in Section 5-2 and re- move the node from the chassis as described in Section 5-4.

2.Remove the two screws on either side of the rear of the node.

3.Lift the cover up and off the node.
