Listening to an iPod
Before starting iPod playback, read “Using an iPod/iPhone/ iPad” on page 12.
The following explanations refer to an iPod, but they also apply to use with an iPhone or iPad.
1 Press the iPod/USB button on the remote control unit.
If no iPod is connected to this unit's USB port, “Not Connected” will appear on the display.
If an iPod has already been connected, playback will start.
2 Connect the iPod to the USB port.
“Reading” will appear on the display followed briefly by “Direct Mode”. After this message disappears, “iPod” appears.
The iPod automatically turns on and starts playback from its music list.
ppUse the USB cable provided with the iPod to connect it to this unit's USB port.
ppThe iPod's battery will be recharged when it is connected and this unit is turned on. Charging will stop once the iPod is fully charged. It will not be charged when this unit is in standby mode.
ppIn iPod mode, the STOP button (8) does not function.
ppWhen in iPod mode, no sound is output from this unit’s headphones jack.
ppAfter connecting the iPod to this unit, if you connect headphones to the iPod, no sound will be output from this unit.
Pausing playbackDuring playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE button (G/J) to pause playback. To resume playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE button(G/J) again.
Searching for the desired track/fileWhen playing back or paused, press the Skip button (.//) repeatedly until the desired song is found.
ppIf the .button is pressed during playback, the song being played will be played from the beginning.
