Radio

Cannot listen to any station or the signal is too weak.

eTune in a station properly.

eAdjust the FM or AM antenna to the best reception position.

eIf the signal is weak, you will need to use an outdoor antenna (commercially available) (pages 12 and 13).

Bluetooth

The sound breaks up or there is noise.

eIf there is a device that generates electromagnetic waves in the 2.4 GHz band, such as a microwave oven or wireless LAN equipment, nearby it could affect the unit.

Locate the unit away from such devices or stop using them.

Transmission is interrupted.

eThe connected Bluetooth device might be too far away from the unit. The approximate Bluetooth transmission distance of this unit is 10 m (33 ft) without obstructions. eConfirm that there are no obstacles between this unit

and the Bluetooth device.

Pairing fails.

eConfirm that the Bluetooth device you want to connect supports A2DP or AVRCP.

eConfirm that the Bluetooth device you want to connect is able to transmit.

You might need to turn on or otherwise enable the Bluetooth function of the Bluetooth device. For details, see the operation manual of your Bluetooth device.

Since this unit uses a microcontroller, external noise and other interference can cause the unit to malfunc- tion. If this should occur, unplug the unit's power from the outlet and wait a little while before plugging the power in again and retrying the operation.

If the unit still does not function properly after doing this, follow the procedures in the next section to restore the unit to its factory default settings.
