The display latch keeps the display panel closed and locked. To open the display panel, slide the latch to the right and raise the panel.

The speakers let you hear the computer’s audio output —such as system alarms associated with your software and music from audio CDs or DVDs.

The front panel controls perform several functions, depending on the position of the CD/DVD/Media Player power switch. For more information, see “Front panel controls” on page 37.

The diskette drive allows you to use either high-density or double-density 3.5-inch diskettes.
