Important safety instructions
When using your telephone equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk o f re, elect ric shock and
injury, including the fo llowing:
Read and understand al l instructions.
Follow all warnings and in structions marked on th e product.
Unplug this product f rom the wall outlet before cl eaning. Do not use liquid or ae rosol cleaners. Use a dam p cloth for cleaning.
Do not use this product n ear water (for example, near a bathtub, k itchen sink, or swimming p ool).
Do not place this produ ct on an unstable table, sh elf, stand or other unstabl e surfaces.
Slots and openings in the back or bottom of the telephone base and handset are provided for ventilation. To protect them from overheating,
these openings m ust not be blocked by placing the prod uct on a soft sur face such as a b ed, sofa or rug. Th is product should never be
placed near or over a radiator or h eat register. This product sh ould not be placed in any area wh ere proper ventilation is no t provided.
This product should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the marking label. If you are not sure of the type of power
supply in your home, cons ult your dealer or local power c ompany.
Do not allow anything to re st on the power cord. Do not inst all this product where t he cord may be walked on.
Never push objects of any k ind into this product thr ough the slots in the tele phone base or handset bec ause they may touch dangero us
voltage points or create a s hort circuit. Never spi ll liquid of any kind on the pro duct.
To reduce the risk of electric sho ck, do not disa ssemble this pro duct, but take it to an authorized service facilit y. Opening or remov ing
parts of the telephone base or handset other than specie d access doors may expose you to dangerous voltages or other risks. Incorre ct
reassembling can cau se electric shock wh en the product is subseq uently used.
Do not overload wall outlet s and extension cords.
Unplug this product f rom the wall outlet and refer se rvicing to an authorize d service facility u nder the following cond itions:
When the power supply cor d or plug is damaged or frayed.
If liquid has been spill ed onto the product.
If the product has been ex posed to rain or water.
If the produc t does not ope rate normally by following the op erating instruct ions. Adjust onl y those control s that are covere d by the
operation instructions. Imprope r adjustment of other controls may result in damage and often requires extensive work by an authorized
technician to restore t he product to normal oper ation.
If the product has been d ropped and the telepho ne base and/or handset has be en damaged.
If the product exhibit s a distinct change in per formance.
Avoid using a telephone (other t han cordless) during an ele ctrical storm. There i s a remote risk of electric s hock from lightning.
Do not use the telephone to r eport a gas leak in the vic inity of the leak.
Only put the handset of your t elephone next to your ear whe n it is in normal talk mode.
The power units are intende d to be correctly oriente d in a vertical or oor moun t position. The prongs are n ot designed to hold the plu g
in place if it is plugged i nto a ceiling or an under-the- table/cabinet outlet.
