Problem Suggestion

I cannot dial out. • Make sure you have a d ial tone before dialing. The handset may t ake a second or two to nd

the telepho ne base and produce a dial tone. This is norma l. Wait an extra se cond before

dialing.

• Make sure your phon e is set to the correc t dial mode for the t ype of ser vice that you have

(pulse or touchtone). Refer to the Setup s ection of this user’s manual to set the dial m ode.

• If the other phones in your home are having the issue, the probl em is in your wiring or local

service. Contact your lo cal telephone company.

• Eliminate any bac kground noise. Noise from a television, radio or other app liance may cause

the phone not to dial out properly. If you cannot eliminate the background noise, rst try muting

the handset before dialing, or dialing from another room in your home with less background

noise.
