UNABLE TO CALL
TRY AGAIN displays
on my handset.
• Move the han dset closer to the telephone base. You might have moved out o f range.
• If the handset is in its telephone base and the charging light does not light, refer to the charge
light is off in this troubl eshooting guide.
• Reset the telep hone base. Unplug the unit’s electrical power. Wait for 15 seconds then plug it
back in. Allow up to one minute for the h andset and telephone base to reset.
• Other electronic products can cause interf erence with your c ordless pho ne. Try i nstalling
your phone as far away from these types of electro nic devices as possibl e: wireless routers,
radios, radio towers, pager towers, cell phones, intercoms, room monitors, televisions, personal
computers, kitchen app liances and other cordless phon es.
The battery does not
hold a charge.
• Charge the battery in the h andset for 16 hours. For optim um daily per formance, return the
handset to its telephone base w hen not in use.
• You may need to purchase a new battery, please refer to t he battery sec tions in this user’s
manual.
• Your phone might be malfunctioning. Please refer to the Warranty section of this user’s manual
for further instructi on.
If you subscribe to DSL
service
If you hear noise during conversations and/or your caller ID features aren’t functioning properly,
install a DSL lter to the telepho ne line between t he telephone base and the telephone line
jack. Contact your DSL provid er to obtain a DSL lter.
I hear other calls while
using my phone.
• Disc onnect your telephone bas e from the telephone jac k, and plug in a regul ar telephone. If
you still hear other calls, the problem is probably in your wiring or local service. Call your local
telephone company.
