Problem Suggestion
My handset does not
ring when I receive
a call.
• Make sure you h ave the ringer activated. Refer to the section(s) on r inger selection in this
user’s manual.
• Make sure the telephone line cord is plugged rmly into the telephone base and the telephone
jack. Make sure the power cord is plu gged in.
• You may be too far from the tel ephone base.
• Charge the battery in the h andset for 16 hours. For optim um daily per formance, return the
handset to its telephone base w hen not in use.
• You may have too many exten sion phones on your telephone lin e to allow all of them to ring.
Try unplugging some of the other pho nes.
• The layout of your home or ofce might be limiting the operating range. Try moving the telephone
base to another location, prefer ably on an upper oor.
• If t he other phones in your home are having the issue, the probl em is in your wiring or local
service. Contact your lo cal telephone company (charges may app ly.)
• Test a working phone at the phone jack. If another phone has the sam e problem, the problem
is the phone jack. Contac t your local telephone company (charges m ay apply.)
• Other electronic products can caus e interferenc e with your cord less phone. Try insta lling
your phone as far away from these types of electro nic devices as possibl e: wireless routers,
radios, radio towers, pager towers, cell phones, intercoms, room monitors, televisions, personal
computers, kitchen app liances and other cordless phon es
• Your line cord migh t be malfunctioning. Try installing a new li ne cord.
