Taking care of your telepho ne
Your cordless telephone contains sophisticated electronic parts, so it must be treated with care.
Avoid rough treatment
Place the handset down gently. Save the original packing materials to protect your telephone if you ever need to ship it.
Avoid water
Your telephone can be damaged if it gets wet. Do not use the handset outdoors in the rain, or handle it with wet hands. Do not install your telephone base near a sink, bathtub or shower.
Electrical storms
Electrical storms can sometimes cause power surges harmful to electronic equipment. For your own safety, use caution when using electric appliances during storms.
Cleaning your telephone
Your telephone has a durable plastic casing that should retain its luster for many years. Clean it only with a soft cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild soap. Do not use excess water or
cleaning solvents of any kind.
What does this limited warranty cover?
• The manufacturer of this V Tech Product warrants t o the holder of a valid pr oof of purchase (“C onsumer” or “you ”) that the Product a nd all accessorie s provided in the sal es package
(“Product”) are fre e from defects in mater ial and workmansh ip, pursuant to the foll owing terms and con ditions, when inst alled and used nor mally and in accord ance with the Produ ct
operating instructi ons. This limited war ranty extends onl y to the Consumer for Pro ducts purchase d and used in the Unite d States of America an d Canada.
What will VTech do if the Product is not free from defects in materials and workmanship during the limited warranty period (“Materially Defective Product”)?
• During the limited warranty per iod, VTech’s authorize d service repres entative will repair o r replace at VTech’s optio n, without charge, a M aterially Defecti ve Product. If we repai r the Product,
we may use new or refurbished re placement part s. If we choose to repla ce the Product, we may r eplace it with a new or re furbished Produc t of the same or simila r design. We will retain
defective parts, modu les, or equipment . Repair or replaceme nt of the Product, at V Tech’s option, is your exclus ive remedy. VTech will retur n repaired or replac ement Products to yo u in
working condition. You shou ld expect the repai r or replacement to ta ke approximately 30 day s.
How long is the limited warranty period?
• The limited warranty per iod for the produc t extends for ONE (1) YEAR from th e date of purchase. If V Tech repairs or replace s a Materially Defec tive Product under t he terms of this limit ed
w arranty, this limite d warranty also app lies to repaired or rep lacement Product s for a period of eithe r (a) 90 days from the date the re paired or replacem ent Product is ship ped to you or (b)
t he time remaining o n the original one- year warranty; whic hever is longer.
What is not covered by this limited warranty?
This limited warranty does not cover
1. Pro duct that has been su bjected to misuse, ac cident, shippi ng or other physical d amage, improper ins tallation, abnor mal operation or han dling, neglect, i nundation, re, water o r other liquid
i ntrusion; or
2. Pro duct that has been da maged due to repair, alter ation or modicat ion by anyone other than a n authorized serv ice representati ve of VTech; or
3. Product to the extent th at the problem experi enced is caused by si gnal conditions , network reliabi lity, or cable or antenn a systems; or
4. Pro duct to the extent th at the problem is caus ed by use with non-VTech el ectrical acce ssories; or
5. Product whose warran ty/quality stic kers, Product seri al numbers plates or el ectronic serial n umbers have been rem oved, altered or rende red illegible; or
6. Product purchased , used, serviced , or shipped for repai r from outside the Un ited States of Americ a or Canada, or used fo r commercial or inst itutional purpo ses (including bu t not limited to
Products used for renta l purposes); or
7. Pro duct returned wit hout valid proof of pur chase (see 2 below); or
