		3. Basic Operation
The DADF accepts the following.

	Document type (weight)	Number of

	Lightweight paper (38-49 g/m2)	250 sheets
	Plain paper (50-80g/m2)	250 sheets
	Heavyweight paper (81-128g/m2)	150 sheets
	Heavyweight paper (129-200g/m2)	100 sheets

Document Glass

The Document Glass accepts single-sheet or book-form documents up to a maximum of 11 x 17 in./A3 size.

CAUTION: When copying thick documents/books, do not use excessive force to press the Document Glass cover against the documents as this may cause damage to the Document Glass.

Copy/Scan procedure

Follow these instructions when making basic copies or scanning documents.

KEY POINT: In order to prevent paper jams, use the Document

Glass when copying folded or creased documents.

1.Load documents into the DADF.

a.If using the Document Glass, proceed to Step 2.

b.Load documents face-up into the DADF. Remove any paper clips and staples before loading documents.
