Introduction
Congratulations on acquiring your new XES Synergix 88 50 Printer.
Xerox Engineering Systems looks forward to supporting you and
helping you increase your printing productivity.
The XES Synergix 8850 Printer is available as a st andalone printer
with an embedded AccXES controller or as a multi-f unction device
with a Synergix Scan System and an embedded AccXES
controller. The Synergix Stacker and a full-featured f older are
optional accessories for either configuration.
The printer has a throughput of 10 D-size (A1) prints per m inute
and a process speed of 4.5 inches per second. It is equipp ed with
three roll media drawers that can hold roll media fr om 11 to 36
inches wide and up to 500 feet long. An optional sealed m edia
drawer is available in place of one of the standard m edia drawers
for locations that experience humidity extremes.
For jobs requiring non-standard media sizes, the print er has a cut
sheet feed-in shelf that enables you to bypass the media draw ers.
It also has a standard catch tray that can accommodate up to 100
prints of all sizes.

and describes the automatic roll-switching feature. Ad ditionally, it
lists some tips for storing your media.
Chapter 4 Off-line Setup Menu
This chapter lists the Setup Menu options and provides deta iled
instructions for using the Printer Menu sub-option.
