3.3.8 Firmware download

It is possible to download firmware via PSinst32 by activating the menu “Download From..” from the “File” menu. When activated you will see this screen:

As a default PSinst32 will promt for download of PrintServer configuration files but other files can be downloaded clicking “Files of type”:

-PS Configuration Files

-MakeITDS Configuration Files

-IPDS Top Firmware

-FSL Top Firmware

-IPDS Fontset

-Base Code

-All files

In the following you will see how to download firmware in the shape of PrintServer drivers when the PrintServer is equipped with a top module for IBM 3270 or IBM 5250 environment printing.

Example of downloading firmware for PrintServer drivers

When the PrintServer is equipped with a top module for printing in IBM

3270 or 5250 environments, the driver can be downloaded as follows:

1.In the above form click “Files of Type”

2.Select “FSL Top Firmware”

3.On the screen you will see a number of drivers.
