ERROR SIGNAL TROUBLESHOOTING

ERROR DISPLAYS

ERROR	LED	LCD DISPLAY		DESCRIPTION
01			1.	Ensure all wiring harnesses are properly connected.
	Red	MACHINE ERROR
Machine			2.	Replace main circuit board.
02			1.	Ensure correct communication protocols.
		EEPROM ERROR
	Red		2.	Check cables, cycle printer power and resend.
Flash ROM
			3.	Replace board.
03			1.	Ensure correct communication parameters.
		PARITY ERROR
	Red		2.	Check cables, cycle printer and resend.
Parity
			3.	Replace board.

	Red	OVERRUN ERROR	1.	Check and correct communication cables and settings.
Overrun
05			1.	Ensure host system and interface settings match.
		FRAMING ERROR
	Red		2. Check and correct communication cables.
Framing
				(null modem serial cable required)
06			1.	Size of received data exceeds size of receiving buffer.
	Red	BUFFER OVER
Buffer Overflow			2.	Establish the correct communication protocol.
07			1.	Properly latch the print head.
	Red	HEAD OPEN
Head Open			2.	Replace the head-open switch.
08			1.	Ensure media is properly loaded.
		PAPER END
	Red		2.	Clean sensor transmit/receive surfaces.
Paper End
			3.	Ensure correct sensor configuration.
09			1.	Ensure ribbon stock is properly loaded.
		RIBBON END
	Red		2.	Ensure ribbon has not been damaged.
Ribbon End
			3.	Ensure proper printer configuration.
10			1.	Ensure media is properly loaded.
		SENSOR ERROR
	Red		2.	Clean sensor transmit/receive surfaces.
Sensor Error
			3.	Ensure correct sensor configuration.
11			1.	Clean the print head’s contact surface.
	Red	HEAD ERROR
Head Related			2.	Replace the print head.
12			1.	Delete unnecessary data to free up memory space.
	Red	DOWNLOAD ERROR
Memory Reading		XXXXXXXX ERROR	2.	Ensure the data communication settings are correct.
13			1.	Data sequence number doesn’t match previous data.
	Red	DOWNLOAD ERROR
Interface		I/F NOT SUPPORTED	2.	Check send data and communications setting.
14			1.	Confirm settings are correct.

Download Data		DATA ERROR	2. Retry command.
