4 Preparation

VCAUTION!

Follow the safety instructions in the chapter “Safety instructions” on page 13.

4.1Pulling out/removing the server

ÊTerminate all applications and shut down the server correctly.

ÊIf your operating system has not switched off the server, press the on/off button.

ÊPull all power connectors out of the power outlets.

ÊLoosen the knurled screws on the sides and pull the server carefully out of the rack as far as it will go.

IIf the server is not easily accessible once it has been pulled out, remove it from the rack completely. See the operating manual for details on how to remove the server from the rack.

VCAUTION!

At least two people are needed to remove the server from the rack.
