6 Main memory

The system board has a total of 12 slots (6 for each CPU) for memory modules (DIMMs), which are suitable for both RDIMM memory modules (registered DIMM with the capacities 2048, 4096 and 8192 MB) and UDIMM memory modules (unbuffered DIMM with the capacities 1024 and 2048 MB).

The board supports a maximum memory configuration of 24 GB for UDIMM memory modules and 96 GB for RDIMM memory modules. A mixture of these two module types is not permitted.

The SDDC function (Single Device Data Correction or Chipkill) is only supported for RDIMM memory modules.
