13.Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualified service personnel under the following conditions:

a.When the power cord or plug is damaged or frayed.

b.If liquid has been spilled into the product.

c.If the product has been exposed to rain or water.

d.If the product does not operate normally when the operating instructions are followed. Adjust only those controls that are covered by the operating instructions since improper adjustment of other controls may result in damage and will often require extensive work by a qualified technician to restore the product to normal condition.

e.If the product has been dropped or the cabinet has been damaged.

f.If the product exhibits a distinct change in performance, indicating a need for service.

14.Use only the proper type of power supply cord set (provided in your accessories box) for this unit. It should be a detachable type: UL listed/CSA certified, BS1363, ASTA, SS145 certified, rated 10A 250V minimum, VDE approved or its equivalent. Maximum length is 15 feet (4.6 meters).

15.If your computer includes a modem, the cable used with the modem should be manufactured with a minimum wire size of 26 American wire gauge (AWG) and certified as the law in your respective country. For detailed information, please contact Fujitsu or the store where you purchased these products.

Please take extra precaution when connecting the LAN and do not connect the cables to the peripheral device ’s connector, that might have excessive voltage.

16.CAUTION.

If the CD/DVD drive is not operated correctly according to the instructions or procedures specified in the operating manual, it may emit a laser beam. Disassembling the CD/ DVD drive may cause you to be exposed to a harmful laser beam. So never disassemble it. The CD/DVD drive may emit a Class 3A or Class 3B laser beam when its cover is detached.

The CD/DVD drive may emit a Class 3A or Class 3B laser beam when its cover is detached. Do not look at the laser beam directly or through an optical device. Also, be careful not to be exposed to the laser beam.

Safety of Laser Products

The CD/DVD drive installed on your computer uses a laser.

Class 1 Laser Products

The CD/DVD drive complies with the provisions pertinent to class 1 laser products, in Subchapter J of the Federal Regulation DHHS 21 CFR of the United States Department of Health and Human Services. Also, it complies with the international standard IEC 60825-1, the CENELEC standard EN 60825-1 and the Japanese standard JIS C6802, which govern Class 1 laser products.

17.CAUTION.

Do not touch the on-board battery. Risk of electric shock, burn and fire. Do not replace the on-board battery. Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by incorrect type. Please contact Fujitsu or the store where you purchased this products.
