If there are a large number of connections of a particular QoS on a particular port, and these connections begin to slow down and show signs of congestion, use the set CACEqBwAllocScheme command to change the CAC policy to moderate or conservative.

The SmartSwitch 9A100 performs buffering using a shared-memory architecture. Buffer space is divided into queues for each QoS. In turn, ports are allocated some portion of each of the QoS queues. This allocation is controlled on a per-port basis by the porttrafficcongestion commands.

Qos is defined on an end-to-end basis in terms of cell loss ratio, cell transfer delay, and cell delay variation.
