Question: What are the various types of memory that the X5DL8- GG/X5DLR-8G2+/X5DLR-8G2 motherboard can support?

Answer: The X5DL8-GG has eight and the X5DLR-8G2+/X5DLR-8G2 has six 184-pin DIMM slots, which support registered ECC DDR-266 and DDR- 200 (PC2100 and PC1600) DIMMs only. Unbuffered SDRAM, non-ECC memory and PC100/133 SDRAM modules are not supported. Important: The memory employs a two-way interleaved scheme, which requires you to install memory modules in pairs (see Chapter 2 Section 3 for details.)

Question: How do I update my BIOS?

Answer: It is recommended that you do not upgrade your BIOS if you are experiencing no problems with your system. Updated BIOS files are located on our web site at http://www.supermicro.com. Please check our BIOS warning message and the info on how to update your BIOS on our web site. Also, check the current BIOS revision and make sure it is newer than your BIOS before downloading.
