From the Module configuration screen, the management mode can be changed. Select option 18 to change the mode. The management mode options will be displayed.

The GX/TM module supports several management options. Option 18 configures how the module will communicate to its remote partner. ‘Auto Secure OAM’ (option 2) and ‘Secure OAM’ (option 4) uses Omnitron’s proprietary secure encrypted management channel. ‘Auto Secure OAM’ will force the remote partner to communicate using the Secure OAM protocol while ‘Secure OAM’ will only attempt to communicate with the remote partner over the secure protocol.
