A4.2 Overview

IMPORTANT!

If the power is turn ON while

pressing and holding the [FEED] and [PAUSE] keys at the same time, the printer will enter the System Mode intended for Service

System Mode consists of four main menus: Self-Diagnostic Test, Printer Parameter Fine Adjustment, Test Print and PCL Emulation Setting.

While pressing the [FEED] and [PAUSE] keys at the same time, turn onon the printer. Hold both keys until “<1>DIAG. Vx.x” message appears on the display.

Personnel.

In addition to the menus shown in the chart on the right, the following menus are also displayed in the System Mode for Service Personnel: <2>PARAMETER SET <5>SENSOR ADJ.

<6>RAM CLEAR

<7>IP ADDRESS

Please do not change the parameter settings for these items, as doing so may cause the printer to malfunction.

If you should accidentally enter the System Mode for Service Personnel, just turn the power off. If you should change the settings by accident and the printer malfunctions, please contact your nearest TOSHIBA TEC service representative.

This is the start of the Self- Diagnostic Test menu.

This is the start of the Printer Parameter Fine Adjustment menu.

This is the start of the Test Print menu.

This is the start of the PCL Emulation menu.

NOTE:

System Mode menus can be selected with the [RESTART] or [FEED] key.

Pressing the [PAUSE] key allows you to enter the sub menus of each System Mode menu. Flowcharts of each menu’s sub menus are provided on the following pages.
