Discovering the device and obtaining the public address book data

1 Select “Public Address Book” in the browse pane, click the [Tools] menu, and select [Device Setting].

The Local Discovery dialog box appears.

2 Click [Start Discovery] to begin the process.

It locates all the compatible devices in your network.

yYou can quit the process by clicking [Stop Discovery].

yWhen this equipment is on another segment, it may not be discovered. In this case, click [Manual Selection] to discover the equipment manually.

yIf the process continues for a long time, it is because the too many network clients are in the network. In this case, you can configure the discovery settings from [Advanced] button.

3 When the process completes, found printers are listed in the list.
