The keytones feature beeps when you press a button on the scanner. To modify keytone settings, complete the following steps:

1.

Press MENU.

2.

Press or to until bEEP appears in the display, then press

 

E/PGM.

3. Press or to select OFF or ON, then press E/PGM.

4. Press MENU to exit the menu mode.

delay

When the delay feature is active, the scanner automatically monitors channel frequency for an additional 2 seconds after a transmission stops before resuming scanning or searching.

To access the delay, press . /CLR /DELAY while the scanner is monitoring a channel, scanning, or searching. DLY appears when the delay is active and disappears when inactive.

Signal Stalker I also has a delay feature. It’s delay time NOTE is 10 seconds. See “Signal Stalker I” for how to program

memory lock

The memory lock feature protects the scanner from accidental program changes.

To turn on the memory lock, hold down DM/M-LOCKuntil M- LOCK appears. To turn it off, hold down DM/M-LOCKuntil M-LOCK disappears. When the scanner is locked, it beeps an error tone if you try to program a frequency or talk group ID.

NOTE

Using the memory lock does not prevent the scanner from

scanning channels.
