3 Gently open the document eject tray extension toward you.

4 Attach the document eject guide to the document eject tray extension in the order illustrated.

Install it so that the (v ) mark on the guide is aligned with the (v) mark on the body.

5 To remove the document eject guide, follow the above procedure in reverse.

NOTE

After the original eject guide is set in place, the method of scanning is the same as when you make regular scans. However, note that particularly thick and rigid documents may not stack on the extension easily. In this case, we recommend removing the document eject guide before use.

Before you close the document eject tray extension or paper feed tray, be sure to remove the document eject guide.
