Chapter 4. Using the CD-4070NW

8 Load the next document.

Recording continues if a document is loaded and detected. Manual feed can be repeated until you press [Abort].

Patch Code Sheets

Patch code sheets are sheets printed with “patch code” patterns on them. They enable documents to be automatically segmented into files during continuous feeding without interrupting the recording operation. If a patch code sheet is scanned and the patch code detected, the file is automatically segmented.

NOTE

For information on using patch code sheets, see the “CD-R Document Recorder CD-4070NW Instructions (Software Version).”

Patch Code Pattern Functions

The following two patch codes work in different ways:

PATCH T (FILE A)

When this pattern is detected on a patch code sheet, file segmentation occurs from the next document.

Sheets printed with this pattern are not included in the recorded document.

PATCH II (FILE B)

When this pattern is detected on a patch code sheet, file segmentation occurs at this sheet.

Sheets printed with this pattern are included in the recorded document.
