4. Fax

5 Program entries.

Fax auto redial

If the line is busy or if there is no answer, the unit will automatically redial the number up to 2 times.

LTo cancel redialling, press {STOP}.

If your unit does not send a fax

LConfirm the stored telephone number on the display and check that the number dialled is

answered by the other party’s machine.

LThe connecting tone will be heard during dialling to tell you the status of the other party’s machine (feature #76, page 39).

Using stations 2–5:

Press the desired station key.

Using stations 6–10:

Press {LOWER}, then press the desired station key.

Using navigator directory:

Press {A} or {B} repeatedly to display the desired entry and press {SET}.

6Press {SET} after programming all of the desired entries.

7Press {STOP}.

4.4Broadcast transmission

By programming entries from the one-touch dial and navigator directory (page 20) into the broadcast memory, you can send the same document to multiple parties (up to 20). Your programmed entries will remain in the broadcast memory, allowing frequent re-use. See page 27 for broadcast transmission instructions.

LKeep the front cover page open for button locations.

LThe broadcast function utilises station 1. The one-touch dial function will be cancelled.

LThe broadcast key can accept one-touch dial and navigator entries.

4.4.1Programming entries into the broadcast memory

1Press {MENU} repeatedly to display “DIRECTORY SET”.

2Press {BROADCAST}.

3Press {A} or {B} repeatedly to display the following.

4Press {SET}.

Note:

LIf you program the wrong entry, press

{STOP} after step 5 to erase the entry.

LConfirm the stored entries by printing a broadcast programming list (page 49).

4.4.2Adding a new entry into the broadcast memory

After initial programming, you can add new entries (up to a combined total of 20).

1Press {>}.

2Press {A} or {B} repeatedly to display “<BROADCAST>”.

3Press {MENU}.

4Press {*} to select “ADD”.

5Press {A} or {B} repeatedly to display the desired entry you want to add.

6Press {SET}.

LTo add other entries, repeat steps 5 and 6 (up to 20 entries).

7Press {STOP}.

4.4.3Erasing a stored entry from the broadcast memory

1Press {>}.

2Press {A} or {B} repeatedly to display “<BROADCAST>”.

3Press {MENU}.

4Press {#} to select “DELETE”.

5Press {A} or {B} repeatedly to display the desired entry you want to erase.

L To cancel erasing, press {STOP}.

6Press {SET}.
