8. Advanced Operations

Film/Paper save reception

Use this feature if you wish to save film and recording paper when receiving two or more faxed pages. When this feature is set, the unit will reduce documents to half their length and print out two pages of documents on one page. A boundary will be printed out between the documents.

Important:

This feature will not work when the other party sends a document in fine resolution or other nonstandard resolutions.

1 Press (FILM/PAPER\SAVE).

ÁThe following messages will be alternately displayed.

Note:

ÁWhen a reduced document is longer than the recording paper, it will be printed on two pages. The continuation will be printed on next page and there may be wasted space. In this case, paper and film will not be saved for the wasted space.

ÁWhen documents are longer than legal size (356 mm in length), the unit will not print the next page of the document on the same page.

ÁPaper and film will not be saved for one page document and the last page of odd numbered documents.
