Cleaning the document feeder unit

If misfeeding occurs frequently or dirty patterns or black bands appear on a copied or transmitted document, clean the feeder rollers, sub roller, rubber flap, white plate and glass.

Disconnect the power cord and the telephone

Slide the front lid open lever towards you to

2 open the front lid.

Clean the feeder rollers, sub roller and rubber

flap with a cloth moistened with isopropyl

rubbing alcohol, and let dry thoroughly.

4 Clean the white plate and the glass with a dry soft cloth.

5 Close the lid securely by pushing down on both sides.

6 Connect the power cord and telephone line cord.

Cleaning the thermal head

If dirty patterns or black bands appear on a copied or received document, clean the thermal head.

Thermal head

Do not push

Caution:

To prevent a malfunction due to static electricity, do not use a dry cloth and do not touch the thermal head directly with your finger.

 

Disconnect the power cord and the telephone

 

1 line cord.

 

2 Open the top cover.

Press the green button on the right marked

 

“PUSH” and lift up the head unit.

 

 

Clean the thermal head with a cloth

 

4 moistened with isopropyl rubbing alcohol, and

 

 

let dry thoroughly.

 

 

Press the head unit down firmly until it clicks

Close the top cover securely by pushing

6 down on both sides.

7 Connect the power cord and telephone line cord.
