Troubleshooting
LCD Messages
The following messages are displayed in the LCD when the machine performs a function or if it encounters an error. This section describes messages related to fax functions. For other messages → User’s Guide.

Cause
The paper size setting is set to a size other than letter, legal, A4, B5, or A5.
The ADF roller rotates without feeding documents.
The document is longer than 1 m, or is not feeding correctly.
The handset is not placed in the handset cradle correctly.
The size of the paper in the cassette or
Shows the percentage of memory currently in use. This message is displayed when you set the document in ADF.
The memory becomes full during the document scanning, or receiving the fax.
Action
Set the paper size setting to letter, legal, A4, B5, or A5 and load paper of the same size. The received fax will then be printed automatically.
Fan the edge that will feed into the machine first, then tap the edge of multiple page documents on a flat surface to even the stack.
Reduce the length of the document to within 1 m, and then
Replace the handset correctly.
Load the correct paper size or change the PAPER SIZE setting of the Additional Functions.(→ User’s Guide)
Then reset the machine by opening the right cover and then closing it.
Wait for the machine to send any faxes in memory. Also, print or delete any documents in memory you no longer need.

When sending the document, divide it into a few parts or select a lower fax resolution.

If the machine’s memory becomes full while scanning documents using the ADF, the document being scanned stops in the ADF. Press OK to make the document come out automatically.
