View MUX Bitrate Data for the Selected Transcoder

At the [Card (#)] Command > prompt, type bits and press Enter.

MUX bitrate data for the selected transcoder card is displayed in millions of bits per second (Mbit/s), for example:

HDMI Input Bitrate: 14.120 Mbit/s (raw 14.120 Mbit/s)

Ethernet Input Bitrate: 0 (raw 9.210 Mbit/s)

Data Output Bitrate: 16.881 Mbit/s

Total Output Bitrate: 19.396 Mbit/s

The example above shows MUX bitrate data for an HCS7710 card. Refer to the Installation & Setup Guide for the applicable transcoder card for further information on bitrate data.

Install a Pro:Idiom Key on the Selected Transcoder

This command installs the Pro:Idiom encryption key on the selected transcoder card. To install a Pro:Idiom key on all the transcoders, see “Install a Pro:Idiom Key on All Transcoders” on page 34.

Caution: Do NOT initiate simultaneous menu sessions while a Pro:Idiom key installation is in progress. Doing so will interfere with the active processes and may corrupt the system configuration and/or cause the HCS6300 card to cease normal operation.

Note: In order for a Pro:Idiom encrypted channel to be displayed, the receiver must contain a Pro:Idiom decrypter, and the receiver must be configured to allow decryption of the desired channel.
