9.3.2 Adjusting the satellite antenna

To adjust the antenna for the desired satellite, or to determine whether the desired satellite can be received at the set position, a test transponder has been programmed for each satellite.

The indicators for signal strength and signal quality provided by this test transponder facilitate the exact positioning of the antenna.

9.3.2.1 Test transponder/LNC configuration

To change the data of the respective test transponder, proceed as follows:

>In this menu, enter the data relating to the test transponder as well as for the LNC used, as described in Point 6.4.3.

>Press Back to return to the menu for adjusting the motorised antenna.

9.3.2.2 Manual adjustment of antenna

The optimum adjustment for the desired position can be made with the help of the displays for signal strength and signal quality. Adjust the antenna in such a way that both bars indicated a maximum value.

>Use the up/down arrow keys to mark the field Save.

>Now use the arrow key right (field East is marked) resp. left (field West is marked) to turn the antenna to the desired position. In each case, hold the key pressed down until the desired position has been rea- ched.

9.3.2.3 Automatic fine adjustment (Autofocus)

Before storing the satellite position in memory, you should perform the automatic focussing function. This provides a fine adjustment of the antenna to achieve optimum reception.

>Press the yellow function key Actions to open a window displaying the actions available.

>Now use the up/down arrow keys to mark the line
