Preparing To Use INDEX Plus+

Before continuing . . .

Refer to pages 8 – 12 of the HR-IP820U's instruction manual and perform the following procedures:

Tuner Setting

Cable Box Controller Setting (if a Cable Box is used)

Download Function Setting

What is "downloading"? With INDEX Plus+, it means receiving CSPG data from the host station and storing it in your VCR's internal memory. When required this data can be accessed. The host station receives information from regular and cable TV broadcasters and sends this information along with its own as CSPG data. The host station sends information around the clock, even late at night when most VCRs aren't in use. This gives you access to new information on a daily basis.

1.Turn on the power to the TV and the VCR.

*If you use a cable box, turn on its power.

2.Set the TV to the channel or mode appropriate for video playback.
