1Follow the instructions in the box on page 16 for accessing the FIND screen. (If there's no tape inserted, the message "NO CASSETTE" appears on this screen.)

3At the TITLE screen, use the DIGIT buttons to enter the first letter of the name of the program you're trying to find. Each DIGIT button (excluding "0") represents 2 or 3 letters. The letters represented by

each button appear to the left of the button.

When you press a button, the

numeric digit of the button

appears first. If you press the

button again the button's top

 

 

letter appears. If you want to input the second or third letter, press the button again. Continuing to press the button will initiate the same cycle again. When you're done, press ENTER. Pressing CANCEL returns you to the previous screen.

NOTE: You can view the list programs from the very beginning (alphabetically). To do so, press ENTER at the TITLE screen without inputting a title.

4A list of programs appears, names to the left and Tape Numbers to the right, with the one you selected at the top. Make sure the cursor is next to it.

If you press PLAY or STOP . . .

1If the tape containing the selected title is already in the VCR, the tape either stops at the beginning of the selected program or starts playback from that point.

2If there is no tape in the VCR, the following screen appears:

Insert the correct tape and the VCR automatically begins searching for the program. If you press CANCEL, the first screen from step 4 reappears.

3If a tape not containing the selected title is in the VCR, the following screen appears (if the VCR was able to read the Tape Number, "THIS IS TAPE#xxxx" appears on the screen):
