RECEIVER FEATURES/PRODUCT PACKAGE

The UFS 902 HDTV receiver is suitable for the reception of digital satellite TV and radio channels. The receiver can be used to receive both high resolution and also conventional TV.

The built-in Common Interface offers capacity for one CA module for pay TV channels. The receiver indicates the channel name on the 12-character alphanumeric display.

The HDMI interface allows the receiver to be connected to a HDTV-capable TV set. In addition one YpbPr connection and one Scart connection (TV) are provided. Via the optical audio output, the receiver can output the Dolby Digital data stream AC 3 to a Dolby Digital system.

The integrated Kathrein Convenience EPG is not only a clearly laid out electronic TV guide, but also enables programmes to be copied directly from the related EPG view to the timer.

The USB 2.0 host port on the rear of the unit allows software updates to be loaded to the receiver.

SWITCHING OFF THE RECEIVER AND UPDATING THE EPG

By pressing the button you can switch the receiver out of TV mode to the standby mode, and back again.

The receiver has the facility to update the EPG overnight, i.e. at 03:00 the receiver automatically starts to update the EPG data. If the receiver is in operation at this time, the update is postponed until 03:00 the following night.

The update time cannot be changed.

During the update, the EPG data for all channels listed in the favourite lists, together with the first 25 channels in the overall channel list are updated. However, this update is only performed if the receiver is in the standby mode. If the receiver is completely switched off (at the mains) or if it is in operation, the update will be delayed (see above). After updating the data, the receiver automatically switches back to the standby mode.

By pressing the button you can interrupt the update before it is finished; the receiver then switches immediately to the standby mode.
