>>>Recording setup

Recording behavior for each of the six profiles is specified in three submenus. The Normal submenu is for a normal situation without alarms or motion events. The Input submenu is for input changes. The Motion submenu is for motion events.

The list gives an overview of inputs and motions that are used in any of the profiles. A check mark means used.

Normal

Select the profile. The Unallocated IPS item shows the IPS capacity remaining.

A total of 60 images per second (IPS) can be recorded for NTSC; 50 IPS for PAL. A minimum of 1 IPS is always allocated per camera for pre-alarm recording and network viewing.

Set the recording rates and quality levels for each camera. Quality is standard, medium or high.

IPS rates for PAL range from Never, 0, 1/10 (one image every 10 seconds), up to 25 IPS.

IPS rates for NTSC range from Never, 0, 1/10 (one image every 10 seconds), up to 30 IPS.

Set the recording speed to NEVER to not record a camera at all. No pre-alarm recording is done and the camera cannot be viewed over the network. No ATM/POS data is recorded.

Input

Each input, when activated, can change the normal recording behavior of up to four cameras for a maximum of 120 seconds.

Select the profile. Select the input number.

Select the cameras whose recording behavior should change. Set the recording rates and quality levels for each camera. Set camera name to None to use less than four cameras.

To free IPS bandwidth, the recording rate of cameras not in alarm is limited to the IPS number displayed.

Motion

Remote user 1, the administrator, always has access.
