Connects the ONT1000M and the subscriber’s telephone, data, and

Fiber in

OptiFit connector provides input to the ONT1000M from the PON

 

 

network.

UPS input

Connects the ONT1000M to an external Uninterruptible Power Supply

 

terminal strip

(UPS), as follows:

 

 

POS — connects to the +12 VDC output terminal on the external

 

 

 

power supply (UPS).

 

 

NEG — connects to the –RTN output terminal on the external power

 

 

 

supply (UPS).

 

 

Signal RTN — connects to the SIG RTN output terminal on the

 

 

 

external power supply (UPS).

 

 

ON BATT — ONT1000M is operating off of the battery. Connects to

 

 

 

the ON BATT terminal on the UPS.

 

 

REPLACE BATT — battery present but not operational. Connects to

 

 

 

the BATT MISSING terminal on the UPS.

 

 

LOW BATT — battery low, needs changing. Connects to the LOW

 

 

 

BATT terminal on the UPS.

 

 

Using a UPS is optional for a network-powered ONT1000M.

Telephone

Termination point for subscriber’s telephone lines. These are insulation

 

terminal strip

displacement type connectors (IDCs) and serve as input for four

 

 

separate lines.

 

 

 

5

Ethernet

RJ-45 Ethernet high-speed data connection to the subscriber’s

 

connection

computer.

 

 

 

6

Cable out

Cable TV output for distribution of video services to the customer

 

 

premises.
