The Interval Program is among the best for conditioning your cardiovascular system. The program raises and lowers your level of exertion repeatedly in one minute intervals. Refer to Diagram 6.

When you begin the program, the resistance for the rest and work intervals is preprogrammed. The settings are repeated throughout the program unless you change them.
The initial resistance settings are: |

Rest interval resistance: | 1 |
Work interval resistance: | 4 |
To change the settings, press the appropriate arrow key and continue. The changes are applied to the remaining intervals. The display lets you know when the resistance is about to change, and indicates the levels of the next interval.
