5.0Operation with remote control

5.1Precommissioning checks

Before putting the machine into service every day or before a long work period, the following checks must be performed.

Observe the safety remarks in section 3.0 of this operating and maintenance manual.

•Place the machine on an even, load-bearing surface. Check:

•All screw joints

•Function of the travel levers

•Function of the back-up safety bar

•The machine for any damage

•The emergency stop switch of the transmitter

Remark:

The following checks are described in the section „9.0 Maintenance“!

•Engine oil level

•Hydraulic oil level

•Fuel level

5.2Operation

When operating the machine with remote control, the correct position is behind the roller. Zone „A“. If the operator is standing on the other side - Zone „B“ - the actuating directions of the control elements do

not correspond to those of the roller.

When operating the machine with the remote control, the minimum distance from the machine must be 2 metres, as under some operating conditions refl ections occur which can cause errors in the close range

stop function.
