Installing/Adjusting Anti-Tippers

NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 9.2.

NOTE: A 1½ to 2-inch clearance between the bottom of the anti-tipper wheels and the floor MUST be maintained at all times.

Installing Anti-Tippers

1. Remove the anti-tippers from the accessory carton.

WARNING

Anti-tippers MUST be fully engaged and spring buttons fully protruding out of adjustment holes.

2.Press the release button in and insert the anti-tippers into the anti-tipper mounting bracket on the wheelchair frame until the spring button protrudes from the top adjustment hole.

3.Ensure the anti-tipper wheels are 1½ to 2-inches from the ground/floor.

4.Adjust the anti-tipper if necessary. Refer to Adjusting Anti-Tippers on page 62.

Adjusting Anti-Tippers

NOTE: A 1½ to 2-inch clearance between the bottom of the anti-tipper wheels and the floor MUST be maintained at all times.

1.Press the release button in and adjust the anti-tipper until the spring button protrudes from the other adjustment hole in the anti-tipper mounting bracket.
