Removing and Installing the Alkaline Battery Holder (DT-X5M10E/DT-X5M30E/DT-X5M30U only)

Removal Procedure

When using a battery pack, first remove the alkaline battery holder according to the following procedure.

1.Make sure the Handheld Terminal is turned off. If the power is on, press the power key to turn it off.

2.Turn over the Handheld Terminal.

3.Slide the two main battery cover lock switches on both sides of the Handheld Terminal to the “FREE” position, and remove the main battery cover.

If the AA size alkaline batteries are installed, remove the batteries by referring to step 4 on page 28 describing “Replacing the AA size Alkaline Batteries”.

4.Remove the alkaline battery holder by

holding the portion indicated by the circle () in the illustration while pushing the tab on the outer frame of the alkaline battery holder to the inside.
