Why won’t my pager power up?

Your PageWriter 2000X Two-Way Wireless Communications Cen- ter might not be accessing the power it requires.

Make sure you have a battery in the battery compartment. If not, insert a fresh battery.

Make sure the battery is inserted properly. Check that the + marking on the battery is positioned on the two-contact side of the battery compartment. Press the battery into the compart- ment to ensure the battery is seated properly. For more infor- mation, see “To replace the battery:” on page 17.

Recharge the battery or insert a fresh battery.

If the front LED lights when you replace the battery and the screen is still blank, your screen’s contrast may be too light. Adjust the contrast. See "My screen is too dark (or too light). How do I change it?".
