Answering System Features

Answering system

Available for: KX-TG7220/KX-TG7222/KX-TG7223/KX-TG7224

The answering system can answer and record calls for you when you are unavailable to answer the phone.

Important:

L Only 1 person can access the answering system (listen to messages, record a greeting message, etc.) at a time.

L When callers leave messages, the unit records the date and time of each message. Make sure the date and time have been set (page 13).

Memory capacity

The total recording capacity (including your greeting message and caller messages) is about 20 minutes. A maximum of 64 messages can be recorded.

Press {s} to turn on/off the answering system.

L When the answering system is turned on, the answer on indicator lights up.

Greeting message

When the unit answers a call, callers are greeted by a greeting message.

Recording a greeting message

You can record your own greeting message (2 minutes and 30 seconds max.).

L Hold the handset about 20 cm away and speak clearly into the microphone.

Using a pre-recorded greeting message

If you erase or do not record your own greeting message, the unit plays a pre- recorded greeting message for callers and asks them to leave messages. If the message recording time (page 29) is set to Greeting Only, caller messages
