I cannot register a handset to a base unit.

Cause/solution

RChange the display language (page 14).

RYou cannot set eco mode when you set the repeater mode On. If required, set the repeater mode to Off(page 33).

RThe maximum number of handsets (6) is already registered to the base unit. Cancel unused handset registrations from the base unit (page 32).

the operating time seems to be shorter.

Cause/solution

RBattery charge is low. Fully charge the batteries (page 9).

RClean the battery ends (, ) and the charge contacts with a dry cloth and charge again.

RIt is time to replace the batteries (page 9).

Making/answering calls, intercom

Problem

is displayed.

Noise is heard, sound cuts in and out.

Sound quality seems to be getting worse.

Cause/solution

RThe handset is too far from the base unit. Move closer.

RThe base unit’s AC adaptor is not properly connected. Reconnect AC adaptor to the base unit.

RThe handset is not registered to the base unit. Register it (page 32).

RActivating one touch eco mode reduces the range of the base unit in standby mode. If required, turn eco mode off (page 15).

RYou are using the handset or base unit in an area with high electrical interference. Re-position the base unit and use the handset away from sources of interference.

RMove closer to the base unit.

RIf you use a DSL/ADSL service, we recommend connecting a filter (contact your DSL/ADSL service provider) to the telephone line between the base unit and the telephone line socket. Contact your DSL/ADSL provider for details.

RYou have registered a handset that is not recommended (page 4). The clearest sound quality is only possible by registering the recommended handset.
