To stop recording:

When recording from CD player: Press 7either for CD player or MD deck B.

When recording from MD deck A: Press 7either for MD deck A or MD deck B.

To remove the CD, press 0for the corresponding CD number.

If you eject any CD during editing, editing is canceled.

If you eject any CD during recording, recording stops.

To remove the MD from MD deck A, press 0for MD deck A.

If you eject the MD during editing, editing is canceled.

If you eject the MD during recording, recording stops.

To remove the MD from MD deck B, press 0for MD deck B.

If you press the button while recording, the disc loading slot cover does not open.

To confirm the recording contents

Press DISPLAY/CHARA while recording.

The following information will appear on the display for a while.

Track No. of the source CD or MD

Track No. of the current recording on the MD

Triple Recording

You can record three CDs onto three MDs.

Before you start recording in the following steps, you can —

cancel the setting, press REC MODE.

go back to the previous steps, press CANCEL.

On the unit ONLY:

1 Prepare CDs.

Always place a CD on the CD 1 tray. If not, this function does not work.

If you want to record two CDs onto two MDs, use the CD 1 and 2 trays.

2 Insert blank or recordable MDs into the MD B loading slots.

Always place an MD on the MD 1 loading slot. If not, this function does not work.

If you want to record two CDs onto two MDs, use the MD 1 and 2 loading slots.

3 Press REC MODE.

“MD 3MD REC?” appears in the main display. The MD 3MD lamp also lights.

4 Rotate the left jog dial until “TRIPLE REC?” appears in the main display.

The TRIPLE REC and CD 3MD lamps light.

5 Press START (ENTER).

Recording starts, and the tracks of CD 1 are recorded onto MD 1, CD 2 onto MD 2, and CD 3 onto MD 3. (If CD 2 or MD 2 is missing, recording stops when MD 1 is recorded.)
