SWITCH BOARD TEST

Service and repair should be performed by only Lincoln Electric factory trained personnel. TEST DESCRIPTION
This procedure will determine if the Switch Boards are working properly. This resis- tance test is preferable to a voltage test with the machine energized because these boards are easily damaged. Also, it is more dangerous to work on these boards when power is applied.
MATERIALS NEEDED
ANALOG Volt/Ohm Meter
Misc. Hand Tools
Wiring Diagram (Section G)
NOTE: Most digital meters will not supply enough current in the “ohms” mode to do this test effectively.
