MAINTENANCE
Disconnect power to the machine when performing any maintenance or repairs. Failure to do this may result in serious personal injury.
Inspect your planer for loose nuts and bolts. Make sure that all tools are cleared away from the machine.
Cleaning

Occasionally it will become necessary to clean the internal parts with more than compressed air. To do this, remove the covers and clean the internal parts with a citrus cleaner or mineral spirits and a stiff wire brush or steel wool. DO NOT USE
General
Regular periodic maintenance on your Model W1683 20" Planer will ensure its optimum performance. Make a habit of inspecting your planer each time you use it.
Check for the following conditions and repair or replace when necessary:
•Loose mounting bolts.
•Worn switch.
•Worn or damaged cords and plugs.
•Damaged
•Any other condition that could hamper the safe operation of this machine.
